Our vision is a Puerto Rico with redundant, reflexive, adaptable and inclusive built and social infrastructures, where communities across our Islands autonomously adapt and build a sustainable and equitable society.
Community Solar Energy Initiative
RPPR engages community groups that provide services in historically underserved communities throughout the Islands and provides technical and financial resources in the form of direct donations for the installation of solar energy systems in communities most impacted by Hurricane Maria.
Renewable Energy Microgrids Programs
The Program seeks to improve energy resilience by fostering the development of renewable energy microgrids capable of: supporting community energy needs; increasing local control of energy resources; and providing continued access to energy to satisfy critical loads.
Have a question?
Q: Why solar energy?
A: Sunlight is abundant in Puerto Rico, and is generally more constant than other renewable sources, such as wind. We believe that our rooftops are way underused with such an unlimited resource, and we are overdue to make solar energy a major force in our path to resiliency.
Q: How can I HELP?
A: If you're interested in making a tax-deductible donation you can donate directly through our donate button or you can mail a check to Resilient Power Puerto Rico Inc. c/o Marvel Architects 145 Hudson St. New York, NY 10013. Resilient Power Puerto Rico Inc. (RPPR) is fiscally sponsored by the Puerto Rico Conservation Trust Fund, a nonprofit environmental organization. The Puerto Rico Conservation Trust Fund will receive donations for the charitable purposes of RPPR, and such donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
